S. Loeb: “The car
is ok, the set up as well. The race is
different from last year, there are many
new things and it’s not easy to remember
all them. The road surface is always
very slippery, it’s easy get wrong.
Anyway we made most of our tests on
gravel and I’m confident”.
M. Gronholm: “The
car is ok, I’m satisfied with the set
up. The race is difficult, I will try to
be ahead of Loeb, last year when I
withdrew, I was 40 seconds ahead. I will
attack from the start”.
M. Stohl: “My
target is to score points, it will be a
great result to be placed within the
first 5. Sardinia is a unique race, and
difficult because of the gravel road –
it hasn’t got much grip. At shakedown we
had an hydraulic problem that we are
trying to fix”.
D.Sordo: “ The car
is ok. He worked hard on the car in
Sardinia during our tests, and I’m
confident for the race. At the shakedown
I’ve found a lot of people, they were
displaced very well, at the start and at
the finish”.
Petter Solberg:
“We had some problem with the
understeering, it is fixed now, the rest
of the car is ok. In spite of the 2004
race, the track has changed a lot; the
special stages are always very fast. I
hadn’t have time to test new tyres from
BF Goodrich”.
Xavi Pons: “He
signed a contract with Subaru for 8
rounds this year and for 2008 - it will
be the third Subaru car from Finland”.
Mikko Hirvonen:
“The car is perfect, the target is to
interfere in the fight between Loeb and
Gronholm, and Solberg too may be an
important outsider, I love Sardinian
gravel , I would like to run a great
race”.
Henning Solberg:
“It would be fantastic to mount the
podium, even though I know I have to
fight for the fourth or fifth place. I
like this race, it is a kind of surface
perfect for my driving style”.
Luis Perez Companc:
“It is my third year in Sardinia, and I
verified once again that the track
changes very quickly, it’s a race with
unique characteristics”.
Federico Villagra:
“He will be the second driver of
Munchi’s , he will replace Raies”.
Jari Matti Latvala:
“I like Sardinia very much, I ran here
in 2005, and I remember very well that
race. Our target is to finish in the
first six places. It would be wonderful
mount the podium, but I’m realistic, I’m
here to get experienced”.
Matthew Wilson:
“Everything is ok , I hope to finish
well and make the team proud”.
Chris Atkinson:
“we had very good testing sessions last
week in Sardinia. The car is ok, I am
confident in a forth or fifth place
finish. I like driving with my new co-
driver”. |
