Situated on a
hilltop overlooking Monte Lerno and the
valley of Riu Mannu, Pattada is the
highest town in the province of Sassari,
at a height of almost eight hundred
meters above sea level. The town, a
complex network of steep and narrow
street, is rich in workshops, where the
local craftsmen produce hand-made knives
with bone handles, used traditionally by
shepherds. |
