Port and Rally,
perfectly together
Sea and land, port and rally. Peculiar
alliance that inspite to all previsions
comes perfectly together in Olbia and
Gallura since several years.
A cooperation between the Organisers of
one of the most important motorsport
event and the Olbia and Golfo Aranci
Port Authority, that is glad to host the
Service Park in the Cocciani Pier area,
located on the way to the most beautiful
beaches of the zone.
This Partnership now arrives at the
Motorshow Event in Bologna."It is an
honour for the Port Authority to be
present at the Bologna Motorsport, an
event completetly dedicated to
motorbikes and cars' world - says the
Port Authority's President Mr. Paolo
Piro - and a challenge for an
Organisation that promotes ports. A bet
that was made 2 years ago when we
decided to set up the Head Quarter and
the Service Park of the Rally Event". It
is Mr. Piro's strong convinction that
for Sardinia, already worldwide famous,
and for Olbia, that hosts more or less 5
Million passengers during the main
season, this is a very important
occasion to increase touristic
attraction and to make the summer season
longer than ever."I'm sure that the
Motor Show can help us in creating new
ways to reach new tourist targets, motor
supporters for example. Since years
Rally events are very important to
enlarge territory's acknowledge and we
are trying to get the best solutions
with the different sailing Companyies in
order to better connect Sardinia with
the rest of Italy". Data uphold
President's thesis "this year - he says
- we close the season with more than 5
Million passengers and more than one
hundred thousend cruisers on 54
cruise-boats from the end of March till
the beginning of November. 2008 will
bring us many satisfactions thanks to 98
new cruise-boats that will bring more
than 200.000 passengers in additions to
these of last season. Numbers that we
will be able to manage with the several
events, Rally is one of them, that the
Municipality, Province and the Region
Authorities have already planned on the
territory". |
