RALLY D’ITALIA
SARDEGNA AND THE TERRITORY
Since 2004 the
Italian Leg of the World Rally
Championship has been taking place in
Sardinia, racing on gravel roads of
three different provinces and many
municipalities. Several public and
private partners have helped the Event
to become even more important. They are
not just sponsors, but Authorities that
have always believed that the Rally
Event has an important promotional aim,
supporting it not just financially.
First of all we
would like to thank the Public
Authorities such as the Olbia-Tempio
Province with its President, Mrs
Pietrina Murrighile; the Olbia
Municipality and the new Mayor, Mr
Gianni Giovannelli, who really believes
in the Rally Event such as his
predecessor, Mr. Settimo Nizzi already
did before him.
The Sardinian Forestall Board, which
gravel roads are fundamental for the
race; Police Organisation, that grant
security and public order during the
race; the Sardinian and Olbia-Tempio
CONI Committee. A particular important
role will be played by the Olbia Golfo
Aranci Pier Authority, that will allow
the Organisation to use the wide space
at the Industrial Pier in order to set
up the Service Park.
Even this year,
the Costa Smeralda – Cala di Volpe
Holding will strongly and firmly support
the Organizing Committee, that has at
its disposal the charming location of
Porto Vecchio in order to organize the
Arrival Ceremony. In addition to this,
the luxury hotels of the holding will
host the several International Guests
that will take part to the Event.
Is there anything better than having
dinner in the enchanting surroundings of
Cala di Volpe? The same location of the
third racing day Special Stage, theater
of the TV show.
Other important
partnerships have been developed with
Moby Lines and Wokita, the Meridiana
airline tour operator, that is ready to
offer touristic packages to anyone who
will come to Sardinia in occasion of the
Rally. Anyone who would like to live

This Year the
Rally Event coincides with the
celebration of San Simplicio, the Olbia
and Gallura’s patron Saint. The
collaboration with the Organizers
Committee of the Celebrations will give
a more impressive tourist impulse. |
