FORD OF ITALY
AT THE RALLY D’ITALIA SARDEGNA 2008
The Italian branch of the World Rally
Manufacturer Champion will work together
with the Organizing Committee of the
Italian Round of the World Rally
Championship
It is a precious help from a relevant
partner: through several initiatives
Ford will give its contribution to the
Rally d’Italia Sardegna 2008 edition.
The World Rally Manufacturer Champion
2007 will also provide the service cars
during the event. The Organizing
Committee will have at its disposal
twenty new Kuga 4wd. It is a quite large
amount of vehicles to which other fifty
C-Max (Courtesy Car) and three Ranger
model will be added later on. A real
task force at disposal of the Race
Control and of whom will be in charge
with the safety.
The Agreement between Ford and Rally
d’Italia Sardegna will be developed
through a real calendar of important
events since now till the sporting event
itself.
At the beginning of April the KUGA DRIVE
will take place. It is a race completely
planned on gravel and dedicated to the
local media. Main actors of the
aforementioned appointment will be those
Sardinian drivers who will also take
part at the Italian Round of the WRC.
The Rally d’Italia Sardegna will be
introduced in Spain, 18th – 21st April,
in occasion of the media conference
organized to show the new Ford KUGA.
At the end of April, another appointment
with the main media representatives and
Marcus Gronholm, World Rally Champion,
as special guest will take place Ford
KUGA is the first Ford Product in the
competitive European merchandise of the
Crossover vehicles, but it promises a
gratifying mix of driving styles both on
gravel and on city road surface. This is
the reason why it has been decided to
organize an appointment on the rally
route.
Ford KUGA will be available in Italy not
later than the end of May. |
