RALLY D’ITALIA
SARDEGNA : 23 at the start line of the
Trofeo Rally Terra
23 Teams have been
entered at the Sardinian round of the
Trofeo Rally Terra that will take place
during the Rally d’Italia Sardegna 15th
/18th May. Even for the Trofeo Rally
Terra the start and the finish line will
be in Porto Cervo, as the WRC Round. The
logistic base will be located in Olbia,
Cala Saccaia, at the Rally Village. The
23 Drivers will have to face 9 Special
Stages, they will do the second passage
during the 8 timed that compose the
three stages and the TV special of
Liscia Ruja.
Between the
entered we have to underline the
presence of the series’ leader Mauro
Trentin (on Peugeot 207 S2000), the ex
Italian champion Andrea Aghini (on
Subaru Impreza STI), Alfredo De
Dominicis from Teramo and Federico
Martelli from San Marino (both on
Peugeot 207 S2000). Other outsider
present at the start are Pesavento
(Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX), Ricci
(Subaru Impreza STI) and Carta (Subaru
Impreza N12).
Sardinia is well represented by 6 crews:
Orecchioni (Subaru Impreza N12), Simone
Fresi (Renault Clio Rs), Piero Fresi
(Seat Ibiza), Catania (Suzuki Swift),
Buscarini and Gala (Opel Astra OPC).
