SEBASTIEN LOEB AND DANIEL ELENA, CITROEN C4 WRC, ARE STILL LEADING THE RALLY D’ITALIA SARDEGNA
The French crew keeps the leadership in the second Leg, followed by Hirvonen (Ford Focus) who is second in the overall classification together with Latvala (Ford Focus). Gigi Galli (Ford Focus) is in fourth position.
Tomorrow the last five Special Stages and the arrival in the enchanting surrounding of Porto Cervo at 14.30.

Sebastien Loeb and Daniel Elena lead the second racing Day of the Rally Italia Sardegna. Even if he has not imposed his rhythm in no one of the six Special Stages he has raced today, for a total of 134,60 timed km (on a total of 276 km), he is still the leader of the overall classification, although the competitive presence of several crews.
Loeb has reinforced his advantage, but behind his Citroen C4 WRC (Citroen Total Wrt) all the other main actors are fighting during this sixth Round of the WRC. Especially Jari-Matti Latvala. The Finnish driver – Ford Focus WRC of BP Ford Abu Dhabi Wrt – has dominated all the timed stages of today, thanks to the extraordinary stage’s rhythm, he has reached the second position in the overall classification together with Mikko Hirvonen. He is the leader of the championship classification and, thanks to the results obtained today, he is following Sebastien Loeb.
Daniel Sordo (Citroen C4 WRC (Citroen Total Wrt), never close to the rhythm of the best drivers and Petter Solberg (Subaru Impreza WRC – Subaru WRT), who has damaged the car during the second SS, are respectively fifth and tenth in the overall classification. Gigi Galli (Ford Focus RS WRC - Stobart VK M-Sport) is fourth and he has played a wonderful second stage, obtaining the third time three times.
Fascinating race for the stars of the third Round of the JWRC. Leit motive has been the fight between Michal Kosciuszko (Suzuki Swift S1600) and Martin Prokop (Citroen C2 S1600), respectively first and second in the overall classification with a difference of just half a second. Alessandro Bettega gets the third position in his Renault Clio R3 – TRT.
Tomorrow the third and last Day will start with the Monte Olia (19,28 km) stage and will continue with the gravel roads of Sorilis (18,99 km), to be raced twice.
The grand final, for a total of 78,57 km of SS (on a total of 180,08 km) will take place in Liscia Ruja (2,69 km), in the Golfo of Cala di Volpe, and it will arrive in Porto Cervo at 14:30 for the Official Finish Ceremony. The aforementioned SS will be live broadcasted at 14.00 on Rai Sport piω Channels (digital channels) and on Rai Sport Sat (via satellite). At 17.30, a special will be broadcasted during the programme Numero Uno, on Rai Due.
