A
journey around world rallies
On Thursday May 18th the Service Park in
Olbia will be open to spectators that
will be able to get close, free of
charge, to the WRC world
Finishing touches at the service Park of
the Rally d’Italia Sardegna before the
official opening this coming Thursday at
09.00 o’clock.
At that time the stronghold of the rally
will start living opening the gates to
the protagonists of the race, but above
all to spectators that will be able see
close to the best drivers of the World
Rally Championship and will be able to
visit the big commercial area. This area
is located in the heart of the Service
Park, next to the service areas of the
official teams. Team Kronos Total
Citroen, Focus of the BP-Ford World
Rally Team, Subaru World Rally Team,
Team Red Bull-Skoda and Omv Norway
Peugeot World Rally Team. Visiting the
stands of the Olbia Rally Village
spectators will be able to admire the
drivers and the mechanics at work on the
world rally cars. Along the route inside
the World Rally Circus spectators will
be able to visit also the regrouping and
the parc fermè areas, where the car will
“rest” between one stage and the other.
Along the regrouping area there is also
the site with the big motor homes of the
I.S.C. and the WRC, the companies owners
of the audio visual rights of the
championship and that produce and send
all over the world the images of the WRC.
Further on spectators can see the
service area dedicated to the Junior
World Rally Championship, of the Ford
Fiesta Trophy, of the Subaru Cup and all
the other crews of the race.

In the first half of this month 156.654
persons visited the web site. The
Italian home page has been visited
12.897 times, the English one 6.023
times. The most downloaded files are:
the entry list 22.617 times (also
through the links from other web sites),
the regulation 12.645 times and the
itinerary 12.560 times. The 70% of the
visits comes from Italy. The 30% from
other countries, the major ones are:
Czech Republic, France, Great Britain,
Germany, Hungary and Belgium. So far
ther web site has been visited by
1.308.299 all together.
INFO RALLY IN THE AIRPORT
The Rally d’Italia Sardegna welcomes its
guests starting from their first steps
in Sardinia. From Tuesday May 16th a
hospitality desk will be available for
rally guests at Olbia Airport where they
can find all the information about the
event. Part of the welcome desk will be
reserved to persons directly involved in
the race. Meanwhile two Subaru Impreza
Sti, one belongs to Subaru Italia and
the other one to the Italian Federation
School (Scuola Federale ACI-CSAI), are
already on show.
