Information and safety “made” in
Sardinia along the route
Inforally Group, 118 Emergency of
Sassari and Fireman Department of
Sassari
Also this year the Inforally Group will
provide an information service along the
18 special stages of the 2006 Rally
d’Italia Sardegna, giving the fans and
the persons working for the rally a
continuous updating. The two Inforally
cars have a sound diffusion system and
will be constantly in contact with the
Press Office in order to get times,
special stages winners, classifications
and all the important news.
As far as concern safety next to ACI
Global and ACI Breakdown Service 803116
also the doctors of 118 Emergency of
Sassari and the Fireman department of
Sassari will be working with their
professionalism, experience and
knowledge of the territory for Rally
d’Italia Sardegna in order to guarantee
both safety and first aid.
“We are satisfied with the job done in
the past two years” said Doctor Piero
Delogu physician of the 118 Emergency of
Sassari and co-ordinator of the rally
project “We worked together with the
organizers and particularly with Lucio
De Mori, Deputy Clerk of the Course”.
Since 1999 the 118 Emergency service
works in Sardinia securing the
co-ordination of all the emergency
services and at the same time promoting,
divulging and developing the concept of
Sanitary Emergency.
It has been essential the co-operation
with the Commander of the Fireman
Department of Sassari, Engineer Luciano
Cadoni, who gave the organizers the
possibility to use an helicopter of the
Helicopter Pilot Team commanded by
Angelo Usai with two pilots, two
officers of the S.A.F. department (river
and mountain assistance) and a skilled
technician.
All together there will be 270 persons
involved: doctors, professional nurses,
chaffeurs and volunteers; 30 ambulances
20 of which 4 WD positioned along the
special stages each 7.5 km, each one
equipped with all kind of emergency
devices and a doctor on board. There
will be two helicopters one of them a
real flying ambulance obtained by means
of the Fireman Department, with
reanimation doctors on board. Radio
links through airplanes. Fire fighting.
