06/06/2017 – Rally Italia Sardegna will get underway shortly and it already recorded its first success with the #RISStaySafe campaign, an absolute novelty of edition 2017.
The initiative devised to grant the highest possible levels of safety along the roads of the rally, has attracted an unprecedented attention. The diffusion of the video-guide for a correct behaviour in the due respect of safety rules and those made in collaboration with the protagonists of the World Rally Championship 2017 totaled more than 250,000 visualizations on Youtube, Twitter and Facebook. This result has been achieved thanks to the capillary distribution of the campaign through WRC’s official media channels.
Credit for this great success goes also to the sensibility of drivers and co-drivers that joined the initiative promoted by Rally Italia Sardegna to raise awareness on safety among fans. Sebastien Ogier, Julien Ingrassia, Dani Sordo, Thierry Neuville, Jari-Matti Latvala, Lorenzo Bertelli, Simone Scattolin, Elfyn Evans and Kris Meeke conceded their image with short, but fundamental, videos promoting sensible behaviour to follow the rally in complete safety.
These videos are available at the #RISStaySafe page published on the official webpage www.rallyitaliasardegna.com alongside a graphical short guide on all the rules on the allowed positions, limits and access times to the stages of the seventh round of the World Rally Championship.
Thanks to this important work, #RISStaySafe has become the official hashtag of the campaign that has had – and will certainly continue to have during the event – an impressive digital dissemination through Twitter and Facebook users. Fans attending the event will have the chance to share their experience in Sardinia using this official hasthtag being safety ambassadors along the stages.
Safety is going to be a crucial aspect of the whole Rally Italia Sardegna’s weekend and a global effort has been made to improve the quality of this Italian round of WRC even further.
