Car #1 S. Ogier / J. Ingrassia (Ford Fiesta WRC): “Tough day, bad news is that tomorrow it will not be that much better as there will not be so many cars in front of me. That is the WRC”.

Car #5 / T. Neuville / N. Gilsoul (Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC): “I have no tyres left, I did this stage without tyres from the beginning. We also have a slow puncture in the front. We gave all we have, we managed to finish and had a clean run but obviously not a good time”. [slow puncture on front left]

Car #10 / J.M. Latvala / M. Anttila (Toyota Yaris WRC): “It is a reasonable good time, I am happy for the afternoon after this morning that was up and down. I am well in the fight for Saturday. A really nice fight, I am looking forward for tomorrow.”. [front tyres gone]

Car #2 / O. Tanak / M.Jarveoia (Ford Fiesta WRC): “This was the only place where I should have gained from two spares. I tried to do my best, the balance was not great. This afternoon has been really difficult I have been struggling a lot with the car. I did not have a good feeling at all. Let’s see what tomorrow brings”.

Car #6 / D. Sordo / M. Marti (Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC): “I enjoyed more this afternoon’s rally with the car. This morning we had a problem and we lost a lot of time, but we are still going with the car. Let’s see tomorrow, maybe in front it is not going to be as nice as today”.

Car #4 / H. Paddon / S. Marshall (Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC): “A bit of a difficult afternoon, the main priority for today was to get a good road position for tomorrow. Tomorrow is crucial for the rally. Mission accomplished for today. I love tomorrow stages they suit me and they suit the car, we will give it a good go, but positions on top are close”.

Car #11 / J. Hanninen / K. Lindstrom (Toyota Yaris WRC): [Big front end damage, the bonnet is crumplet, hole in the cooling system, water leaking from the cooling system Stopped 1 km after the end of the stage. Hit a bank says co-driver. The car is losing a lot of water as they revved the engine]

Car #9 / A. Mikkelsen / A. Jaeger-Synnevaag (Citroen C3 WRC): “It is been great to get mileage in the C3 to always go forward. A long day, a lot of trying new things and discovering the car. A tough day, a lot of mistakes in the hairpins, stalling. I am sure we can get better and better, we are learning”.

Car #14 M. Ostberg / O. Floene (Ford Fiesta Rs WRC): “Tricky afternoon, I really try to push back but it did not work out. It was a gamble with the tyres, sometimes you need to do that. From the conditions it looked that the softs would work, the surface was very soft so they last but did not give me much support. I basically just wore the tyres off”.

Car #12 E. Lappi / J. Ferm (Toyota Yaris WRC): “The afternoon was good, shame what happened this morning but it is part of the game. These things can happen. This stage was flat, you don’t need dampers too much. I was not expecting to win this fast, you need to give yourself some time but it seems we learn quickly. Fine tuning and getting all the small things right to improve is not easy but I am ready for it”.

Car #20 Y. Al Rajhi / M. Orr (Ford Fiesta Rs WRC): “Sure it is a long day, we enjoyed it a lot. We tried to push a bit, it is OK. We need to keep our position avoiding mistakes or strange things. We try to enjoy but keeping our position is what is important”.
