Car #6 / D. Sordo / M. Marti (Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC): “It was good, a nice one but a bit slippery. I got a puncture in the stage before so we do not have another spare wheel. We don’t want to take big risks because we can catch some points, I don’t know if is possible. It is hard to do these stages with four tyres, but I will try to do it”.
Car #9 / A. Mikkelsen / A. Jaeger-Synnevaag (Citroen C3 WRC): “It was a bit strange compared to the last stage. Not so nice, in this stage went backwards again, we made minor changes. We have new tyres on the rear that might have upset the car a bit. We will see in the next stage. ” [very muddy car on the driver side]
Car #12 E. Lappi / J. Ferm (Toyota Yaris WRC): “Not good. Brakes are too hot. To be honest I tried to be gentle for the tyres but it still too much for the brakes. We will try to survive to the finish”
Car #1 S. Ogier / J. Ingrassia (Ford Fiesta WRC):” “This stage was OK for us. I tried to push and the feeling was not too bad”.
Car #11 / J. Hanninen / K. Lindstrom (Toyota Yaris WRC): “OK, a big surprise that it’s still so slippery, I am holding on Sometimes the steering is a bit stiff. Otherwise not bad,no issues just a small problem”. [tyres look ok, dent on the front some carbon fibre appendix missing]
Car #14 M. Ostberg / O. Floene (Ford Fiesta Rs WRC): “It was OK. Setup changes”.
Car #10 / J.M. Latvala / M. Anttila (Toyota Yaris WRC): “It was good, but I have to be careful with the tyres. The beginning of the day is very hard on the tyres. Let’s hope they are OK for Monte Lerno. In a way I did not have tyres for a second spare, that is the problem. Tanak is trying very very hard. He is coming very fast. He wants to win, but let’s see, we have to finish the race first”.
Car #2 / O. Tanak / M.Jarveoia (Ford Fiesta WRC): “I tried to have a clean run, it is very difficult to save tyres in such rough conditions I tried to do my best. And we try to do the same in Monte Lerno. We just need to go in it and do the same”.
Car #5 / T. Neuville / N. Gilsoul (Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC): “Good stage for me, I enjoyed this. I used my shakedown tyres on this loop, it is a handicap but I have two new tyres for the power stage tomorrow. I think we would be leading the rally by now [if it was not for the brake problem], but that is the race. The guys did a great job, it was quite tight but I could carry on. I have to say I enjoy it”.
Car #4 / H. Paddon / S. Marshall (Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC): [Retired after SS13]
Car #8 / C. Breen / S. Martin (Citroen C3 WRC): “It is the same as this morning. In the correct type of roads the car is awesome, but the window is so fine. Driving confidence is the problem here”.
