Car #1 S. Ogier / J. Ingrassia (Ford Fiesta WRC): “There is some tyres wear this afternoon, we expected it is hot and we have been very aggressive. we have to managed them a bit. It is good to get out of the car to get this breeze. Much better than this morning but there is still a little bit of sweeping effect and I am gonna lose less. I push hard ” [something flapping on front right, not too concerned]

Car #5 / T. Neuville / N. Gilsoul (Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC): “The puncture, I don’t know, maybe I got it in a ditch. I pushed very hard. I have one spare. We will be fine.” [rear right puncture big chunk of rubber coming out,, rear left wheel a bit off the rim]

Car #10 / J.M. Latvala / M. Anttila (Toyota Yaris WRC): “Rear diff high message on dash-board, nothing to worry about. You have the grip in the line but out is very slippy”.

Car #2 / O. Tanak / M.Jarveoia (Ford Fiesta WRC): “I was just slow in that split (SS6), not so easy to drive but it is OK. We are carrying two spares, not easy due to the extra weight. The back is sliding so it is difficult to be neat”.

Car #4 / H. Paddon / S. Marshall (Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC): “The first stage went quite nice, looking after the tyres. This stage is really difficult for the grip, with hard tyres the balance of the car is not great. I think I broke a front left damper heavy braking into a hole”.

Car #6 / D. Sordo / M. Marti (Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC): “Something on the turbo wasn’t fixed very well in the service park. The intercooler is not working, so no power. I tried to fix it before the stage. I will try again to fix it now” [Slow times on both stages]

Car #7 / K. Meeke / P. Nagle (Citroen C3 WRC): [Retired at the service. Damages on roll-cage after rolling on SS5]

Car #11 / J. Hanninen / K. Lindstrom (Toyota Yaris WRC): “It was a bit more rough than the first one. The time is quite OK. I am happy. It has been really good fun today”.

Car #9 / A. Mikkelsen / A. Jaeger-Synnevaag (Citroen C3 WRC): “No I did not lose time from Dani. Last stage I stalled three times and now two times. I have been really struggling in this stage. Learning experience, it is a bit different in all hairpins I am stalling all the time. I need to use the clutch more perhaps”.

Car #14 M. Ostberg / O. Floene (Ford Fiesta Rs WRC): “Not really enjoying it. It is not going so well. Our mixed tyre choice that is now wrong. Soft tyres are not working, that is a shame. I expected it to be slippery in the sand, and it is but the softs are not working”.

Car #12 E. Lappi / J. Ferm (Toyota Yaris WRC): “I got the setup now perfect. In the morning we were trying some development dampers which were not great. Then gearbox probs. We changed the setup completely and it is now good. I am winning stages, It is happening much quicker than expected, I don’t complain”. [quickest through on both stages, rear diff warning]
