It is a village lying on the granite hills between the Alà Mountains and the Limbara massif. Its economy is based on cattle raising, farming cork and wine growing. Monti is renowned for its Vermentino wine, one of the best white worthy of D.O.C.G Classification, cultivated by some winegrower’s co-operatives and private wineries. This excellent wine crowns all the rich in flavour and quality gastronomic dishes.
