The Carretta Estate, located on the hills of of Roero in the Piedmont Region, is an historic property of almost 100 hectares of vineyards and produces wine highly valued all over the world.
The “Roero Arneis Cayega” wine, this year became D.O.C.G. (appellation contrôlée). It is obtained by the white berry vine having the same name, Arneis. A strong wine straw-colored with a fruity/floral bouquet, suited to accompany starters, light first courses, sea food and shellfish but is surprisingly pleasant when offered as an aperitif. These characteristics together with an appealing packaging were important to establish its success as “the” white wine of Piedmont.
