2020 FIA World Rally Championship calendar announced

The FIA today announced the World Rally Championship calendar for the 2020 season, following an e-vote by the World Motor Sport Council this week. The 2020 calendar, comprised of 14 rounds, is confirmed as follows: 1. 26 January Rally Monte-Carlo 2. 16 February Rally Sweden 3. 15 March Rally Mexico 4. 19 April Rally Chile 5. 3 May Rally Argentina 6. 24 May Rally Portugal 7. 7 June Rally Italy 8. 19 July Rally Kenya 9. 9 August Rally Finland 10. 6 September Rally New Zealand 11. 27 September Rally Turkey 12. 18 October Rally Germany 13. 1 November Rally Great Britain 14. 22 November Rally Japan Rally Monte-Carlo will open the season, as is tradition, while three new rounds, Rally Kenya, Rally New Zealand and the season-closing Rally Japan, will make their return to the world stage. RALLY ITALIA SARDEGNA 2019, POSITIVE RESULTS REGARDING THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

The report drawn by the Alghero Municipality on the amount of waste produced and the recycling percentage provides a positive balance regarding the latest edition of the rally valid for the FIA WRC and the Italian series CIR and Gravel Trophy. Increased usage of electric vehicles helped reducing the carbon footprint Great care by the organization of the Rally Italia Sardegna 2019 led by Automobile Club d’Italia, through ACI Sport with the support of the  Regione Sardegna, has been put on the waste disposal during the event. In collaboration with ACI’s Technical Area Team, a management and recycling plan for the waste produced allowed to sensibly increase the amount of differentiated waste. 04/06/2019  - Tiziano Siviero designed the Rally Italia Sardegna this year too and refreshed its look with some “cosmetic” improvements for this 16th edition. The rally organized by Automobil Club d’Italia in partnership with Regione Sardegna will take place from June 13th to 16th and will be quite compact and located in the north of the island as in the most recent editions. 24/05/2019 - A total of 94 crews* entered edition 2019 of the Rally Italia Sardegna, that is the eighth round of the World Rally Championship that will take place next June 13-16th. 18/05/2019 - Just under a month is left to the Rally Italia Sardegna 2019 and top teams landed in Sardinia to run some tests ahead of the eighth round of the World Rally Championship campaign. Hyundai Motorsport and Citroen Racing did not waste any time and, back from the exit to Chile, they run some technical tests in Gallura on the gravel defined by the Logistic Rally Testing Sardinia.
